About Krillion Unlimited
Krillion Unlimited is a small, independent fan project. It does two jobs: it lets you practise rare-answer trivia with no daily limit, and it keeps tidy, spoiler-aware guides for the daily Krillion game.
Why does this site exist?
The purpose is simple: to give more people a place to practise. Rare-answer trivia is a skill, and one puzzle a day is not much time to build it. Krillion Unlimited offers unlimited practice rounds on our own questions, with short lessons after each prompt, so players can warm up, improve and then enjoy the real daily game more. We do not host the official game, we do not replace it, and we send players to it from every page.
Who makes this site?
Krillion Unlimited is run by an independent web publisher who plays the daily game and wanted more of it. There is no company behind the site and no team of editors. The same person writes the game, the guides and the code, which is why the site is small, fast and a little opinionated.
How does this site relate to Krillion?
It does not. Krillion Unlimited is unofficial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Krillion or its creator, and it uses none of the official game's logos, artwork, fonts or screenshots. We never use the word "official" to describe ourselves. If you want to play the real daily game, the link in the footer of every page goes straight to krillion.io.
We know that fan sites can be a worry for the people who make the original game, and we take that seriously. This site exists for practice and guidance only, uses its own questions and its own answer lists, and says clearly what it is on every page. If the creator or the official team ever asks us to change something, we will listen.
Where do the Unlimited questions come from?
Every prompt in the Krillion Unlimited game is written by us. The answer lists come from open sources such as Wikipedia and Wikidata and from lists we compile by hand. We rank each answer by how common it is, using the order of the source lists and, where available, public page-view data, then split the ranking into six tiers. A person picks the Pearl answer for each prompt, because the best rare answers are the ones that are interesting as well as unusual.
Because the lists are ours, they will never match the official game exactly. Some valid answers will be missing, and the tiers will not be identical to the real thing. That is the trade-off for a practice game that is independent and can run without limits. If you find a missing answer, tell us from the result screen or by email.
How are the daily pages made?
The daily answers, hints and archive are compiled once a day from public answer sheets and cross-checked against each other. We keep only facts: the dive number, the date, the prompts, the answer names and their tiers. We do not copy other sites' commentary. Our own notes, hints and tips are written for this site. During the day the pages are re-checked and corrected if an answer sheet changes.
Hints are built so that they never contain an answer, and the page source is checked for that on every update.
How is the site built?
Pages are generated ahead of time from simple templates and served as static files, so they load quickly and work on slow connections. The game runs entirely in your browser. Your scores and settings stay on your device, and we do not need an account from you. The privacy policy has the details.
